Pool design

It’s important to know what you might be using your new swimming pool for when you’re trying to decide on a design. Small kids love a nice, 18″ ledge where they can sit and feel secure in between swimming lessons. Teens love that as well and it’s called a “tanning shelf.” Some people like the shelf to be about 6″ and like to tan on it while keeping cool.

One of the most important things to do is to try to project out a few years.  Had we known better, we would have built a pool that was a bit larger and much deeper so that our teens could jump and flip more easily into the water.
