Believe it or not, KFC (yes, that KFC) is moving into the hot tub market—sort of. As part of its plan to “bring more of the company’s craziest and most innovative marketing ideas to life,” the fast-food chain launched a number of campaigns on the crowdfunding site Indiegogo asking people for their support. And one of those ideas happens to be completely functional hot tub designed to look like a KFC bucket.

Exactly why KFC decided to design a hot tub is unsure, but they insist they aren’t joking. According to Fox News, “KFC has said that once any one of these projects is fully funded, the company will get started on honest-to-goodness production.” As of now, the campaigns have run their course, and the chicken-inspired hot tub is the only to be fully funded, making it possible that this fanciful idea will one day become a reality. Other campaigns were not so lucky with most of them receiving less than a few hundred dollars in pledges, including “Colonel on Ice,” which was supposed to be a telling of the real-life story of Colonel Sanders by professional ice skaters.

If we do end up a real-life version of the hot tub, KFC claims that it will have a vinyl liner with molded seating, a vinyl top cover, an aluminum wood heater, and a 250-gallon water capacity. The company says that the Kentucky Friend Hot Tub will use passive thermosiphoning heating technology and therefore not need an electrical pump. Lastly, the tub will hold up to five people and will, of course, feature a full 360 degrees of Kentucky Fried Chicken branding.

Assuming you aren’t a big enough fan of KFC to want its branding on your hot tub, reach out to use instead.
